Nikith joined Troop 17 in March 2008 and has been active in the troop attending meetings and outside activities. Nikith has 46 nights camping with the troop including three long term summer camps. In the summer of 2012, he was a member of a 63 mile backpacking trek with the troop at Philmont Scout Ranch – scouting’s premiere high adventure ranch in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of northeast New Mexico. Last summer, Nikith joined the troop on its own high adventure trip in Southern Missouri. For over six days they backpacked over 30 miles then paddled canoes over 30 miles.

Nikith was a member of an Honor Patrol and was Patrol Leader of the Hawk patrol in 2011. He was a member of the Instructor Corps since then, teaching the scouts many skills. In 2010, Nikith was elected into the Order of the Arrow, Scouting’s Honor Camper Organization. Nikith was on staff for a Camporee and Klondike, a wintertime Camporee.

As a senior at Parkway North High School, Nikith was a member of the Math and History Honor Societies and has been named to the Honor Roll numerous times. Nikith was in the Peer Teaching Program teaching Middle School Students about being safe and drug-free. He was also a member of the A-Plus program tutoring students struggling with their studies.

Nikith was a member of Parkway North High School Viking Marching Band where he played the saxophone and was the section leader. Nikith demonstrated more of his leadership skills as the JV Captain of his Lacrosse Team in his sophomore year.

Nikith’s Eagle Project consisted of designing and building a case to display trophies the Marching Band earned. He researched, measured and purchased materials needed. Nikith was able to use the wood shop at his school under the supervision of the woodworking teacher. He was able to raise over $1,200 and recruited the help of scouts to complete the project. This project required 153 cumulative hours to complete.

Nikith worked as a lifeguard during the summers since he was fifteen years old and volunteered as a camp counselor at the sixth grade outdoor school program at the middle school. Among his other interests, Nikith contributed his time and effort in the Special Olympics and volunteered at the Hindu Temple of St. Louis.

Nikith intends to begin with pre-med at either University of Miami or St. Louis University.
